Fact-Checking Policy
A main gate is heavy, it moves every day and it guards your home, so we are careful about the advice on Main Gate Design. This page explains our standards.
What we check
- Sizes. Widths and heights follow one consistent guide across the site, based on the space cars, bikes and people need. They are typical ranges, and your fabricator should measure on site.
- Materials. Notes on mild steel sections, sheet gauges, stainless steel grades, wood and boards follow common fabrication practice and supplier specifications.
- Safety and durability. Advice on hinges, wheels, stoppers, tracks, primers and pillar strength is reviewed wherever it appears.
- Words people use. Terms like MS, SS, chajja, palla and wicket door are explained in plain language.
What we do not publish
- Rupee prices or per kg rates, because steel prices and labour rates change often and differ by city.
- Paid rankings of brands or fabricators presented as advice.
Images
Gate images are original reference illustrations made for this site. Your finished gate will depend on your site, materials and fabricator.
